Iran and the US say they have carried out fresh strikes around the Strait of Hormuz, with Kuwait condemning "repeated" Iranian attacks.
Despite flare-ups in Middle East violence, investors remain optimistic that the U.S. and Iran will soon end the war.
The renewed cease-fire in Lebanon appeared to be holding on Thursday morning, after Israel and Lebanon announced a U.S.-facilitated agreement to extend it. The agreement could help clear an obstacle to ending the war in Iran.
