This is a DIY French cleat wall easel. I bought 5 pieces of shiplap for this project. Each board was around $9. Once you install the shiplap with the lip facing up you cut the a piece of the shiplap down the center and then you take a piece of that and attach it on the back of your canvas. When a painting feels off I wait a few days to decided what that ‘thing’ could be. I snap a photo of my work and look at it away from the pressure of my studio. This painting had a lot of pink.
